Various Pool Party Games For Kids

On a hot summer day when children have plenty of time on their hands, there exists the opportunity to let them play in the water playing pool party games for kids and enjoy hours of fun competing against each other. All it takes is for someone to take the lead in organizing activities. One can choose from many games that others have played for many years and can still be used with the children of today. There are a lot to choose from "Marco Polo" to a good old fashioned game of "Tug O'War".

An old time favorite for many people is Marco Polo. This is when one person either puts on a blind fold, or promises to keep their eyes closed, and searches for the other people in the water. The blind folded person will yell out "Marco". When that happens the other swimmers are to say "Polo". This helps the blinded swimmer locate the others. When they touch someone, the one who was touched wears the blind fold and the process starts again.

A parent can start a long jump contest. Here the children will usually run along a diving board and jump over a floating device. The device keeps on being placed further away until only one can make the jump. That person who jumps the furthest wins the game.

Some people like to play "Crossing the River". This works by placing two ropes on opposite sides of the pool. Children should climb onto a floating device that is not very stable. They then try to pull themselves to the other side without falling off the floating object.

"Treasure Hunt" can provide some fun times. Throw a bunch a pennies into a pool and let the swimmers dive once to get as many as they can. The one who gets the most will be the champion.

An activity called "Tug O'War" can be played if one has enough deck space. Two teams are placed on opposite sides of the deck and use a rope to pull the each other towards the water. The team that stays on the deck after the other team has fallen into the water wins this particular contest.

"Noodle Joust is another game that many children really like to compete each other in. One will want to get a couple of Nerf noodles that are soft and will not hurt when people hit each other with them. The one who can knock the other off of a floating raft is the winner.

Letting children play in the backyard allows parents to keep an eye on them. The parents might have the ability to initiate pool party games for kids if they have the right equipment. This could let the children have plenty of fun while staying safe.
